One of the hallmarks of many doctor's offices is that patients are made to feel very uncomfortable surrounded by unfamiliar machinery and various pieces of exam room furniture that look complex or and may even instill fear in younger patients. A good way to reduce the fear and uncertainty that some patients may feel is to paint the walls a peaceful or neutral color like blue and to also install photographs and pictures that may inspire a tranquil and serene feeling in patients who might be visiting a doctor's office to find out about a difficult medical problem or issue.
